Stone House is a well-established Residential Home opened in 1988, and now providing accommodation for 33 Residents. It is situated close to the University College of Chester, and within 1 mile of Chester city centre.
Residents have a choice of one of 33 well-appointed single rooms all of which have en-suite toilet facilities. There are two large bathrooms and two shower rooms for use by Residents, and hydraulic bath hoists are provided in each bathroom. All bedrooms are furnished, decorated and maintained to a very high standard, and Residents may bring in favourite items as far as space permits. Four lounges, one quiet lounge, one day room and dining rooms are provided for Residents use, as well as a paved patio area, with a large sun awning. Televisions are provided in the four lounges, but Residents may bring in their own televisions for use in their own rooms. We provide a small "library" of books, many with large print for Residents use, and we have a mobile library that visits. We also have a small video library.
The Homes' environment is warm and comfortable and furnished to a very high standard with the needs of the Residents in mind, and the activities within the Home will sustain the quality of life of the Residents.
A 24 hour care service is provided.
The running of Stone House is under the personal supervision of the Registered Manager, Lisa Wilford, who along with the owners, have set the very highest standards for the care and comfort of the Residents, and no effort is spared to create a happy and relaxed atmosphere in which Residents may achieve an excellent quality of life.
