Facilities at Stone House Care Home
Stone House provides enough communal space per Resident, to meet the needs of the National Minimum Standards Care Home Regulations, i.e: Dining Rooms, Lounges and Recreational areas.
A free personal laundry service is provided on the premises. We have the latest in laundry technology, an OTEX Ozone Sterilisation System, which eliminates all known viruses. You are advised to mark any clothing so that our staff can identify articles quickly and provide an efficient service.
All rooms are equipped with an aid call system, with sounders and monitors situated all over the Home so that our staff can respond quickly to each call. All calls that are made are logged and saved automatically to the main computer which is situated in the managers office on the ground floor.
A Hydraulic passenger lift is installed for use by Residents who have difficulty using stairs. For added safety, all rooms are equipped with smoke detectors, although Residents and their guests are not allowed to smoke in their bedrooms. We have a No smoking policy in Stone House premises.
There are Grab Rails and other necessary aids wherever they are needed, and more will be introduced as and when they become necessary. There are also hoists in the bathrooms, an "assisted" shower room and specialised toilets to aid with the assessed needs of Residents.
Ramps are provided to enable access and egress to the main entrance of Stone House, and also to the patio area. A passenger lift is inÂstalled to enable access to and from the 1 st floor.
There is sufficient width to access all communal areas with wheelÂchairs, and all rooms, upstairs and downstairs are fitted with doors that meet the newest requirements.
All Resident bedrooms meet the standards laid down by the Care Quality Commission.
All 33 Resident bedrooms in Stone House are for single accommodation.
Smoking is not permitted in Stone House premises.
Within two hundred yards or so of Stone House there is a Community Shopping area comprising of a variety of outlets, such as mini-supermarkets, chemist, butcher, baker, 3 men's and 1 ladies hairdressers, off licence, cafes, newsagents, bookmakers and 2 public houses.

We are about half a mile from Chester City Centre and the Roodee Race Course.
We also have in Chester a variety of locations including Grosvenor Park, The River Dee, City Walls, The Rows and many more points of interest and attractions.
Local transport and dial a ride service can be provided to take Residents who may wish to go out on trips when trips are available.
Stone House has its own car park with ample room for visitors cars, and wheelchair access is available into the Home via the patio area, as well as through main entrance via the car park.
